[MINI REVIEW] Mac Mineralize Rich Lipstick : Dreamdaze

I went shopping this week and ended up spend roughly 5000 baht (roughly 155 USD) at MAC counter. WOW. I thought i was hypnotised. In Thailand MAC is more expensive than in the US. But in Japan it's even MORE expensive. Thus, travelling only between Thailand and Japan doesn't really leave me with much choice on where to get my US cosmetics.

I went to MAC to get myself a mineralize skin finish in light plus as I had hit the pan on my old one. I waited until the new packaging arrived in Thailand and i went for it. It was so much better than the old ones. YAY! thank god MAC gives us some mirror to work with! However, i'm not so found of the price. I remembered myself buying this pressed powder at approximately 1000 baht a 2-3 years  back, now it's 1600. I feel ripped off. T_T

Let's talk about what I'm reviewing today. Along with the skin finish, i got myself some other product from the mineralize line. Which is the blush in Cheeky Bronze and Rich lipstick in dreamdaze. The blush is just amazing, and i think all of you already know how nice MAC mineralize blushes are. I prolly gonna talk about that next entry. But I wanna talk about the lipstick first.

Texture and Pigmentation:
First thing about Mineralize Rich lipstick is that it keeps your lip hydrated. I'm having problems with my lip lately because I'm taking pills for my acne and it made my lip as dry and as hard as sand. The Matte lipstick I owned doesn't really work for me anymore so i decided to get one of these. I don't own any lip from this line and I definitely haven't try them before and all I have to say is that it works so amazingly! It's really easy to apply as it is so soft and also can covered up your real lip color in just one application.
The texture was almost like a colored lip balm but with full pigmentation like a lipstick!

Color:
The color I bought is called Dreamdaze. It's a nudy pink with small golden shimmer. I swatched on my arm before i decided to buy and it works even better on my lip. I love the color sooo much. It works perfectly for an everyday look. Not too pale and not too pink. Moreover the gold shimmers are just lovely. This color is almost like NARS ORGASM blush but with lighter color. See the photo below! (I was a little bit too harsh, not so used to such a soft and nice lipstick T_T)

See that beautiful golden shimmer hidden within the pink? Oh gosh i just love it!

How long does it last?

I didn't count the hours exactly. But as i checked by looking in the mirror, I found out that it will last like that until you eat/drink something. Drinking with straw is still ok, but sipping from the cup with totally washed the lip away. But as long as you don't eat, you don't need to re-apply at all because the color doesn't fade away.

I'm going to end this Review with the photo of the product on my lip. (I took it in the evening, after a whole day of shopping outside, so my face might be a little bit oily)  The gold shimmer spreads quite equally and it is not as glossy and shiny like a lip gloss. I seriously dislike lip gloss with too much glitter/shimmer or whatsoever so this lipstick really works for me! I'll give a 10/10

[MINI REVIEW] American Apparel NEON and GLITTER nail polishes

Hi~ everyone!

This is my first blog entry. I decided to start my blog because i'm on summer break and there's nothing to do at all! I just got two American Apparel nail polishes for myself. (from the supermarket near my house, yes, we sell that kind of stuff in supermarket next to vegetable shelf in Thailand) So i decided to tried it on today.

These are what i got! The packages are like your normal american apparel nail polishes. The brushes inside are also pretty ok. They are easy to use. (Not like I ever have any problems with brushes inside nail polishes anyway) The glitter one, I found it hard to apply a lot of glitter onto your nails as the size of the glitters are pretty big, it does not come up easy. I need to use a toothpick to take some of the glitters from the brush and stick them to my nails because if i just apply it directly i would be over-applying it and it would take ages to dry. Plus that does not create a proper layer.

I especially like the glitter. It has been out of stock for a while at the super market near my house but it is now in! and i JUST HAVE TO GRAB IT! However, I found some problems with it (just like i would have found in other nail polishes with this size of glitter)

1. It is hard to apply evenly so that it spreads nicely onto your nail
2. The texture is pretty bumpy. Due to the size of the glitter, it leaves a pretty bumpy texture onto your nails. I apply top coat on top of it but still, it only helped a little bit.
3. When it's bumpy, it's easier to be peeled off and bump into things , thus, it won't stay there for long. I can also feel that mine is curling itself and ready to fall off any seconds.

But of course it has its perks. And i totally love it! It's pretty rare, at least to me, to find a glitter with this kind of shape and shade. Glitter in nail polishes are, most of the time, round-shaped. And usually they are smaller and not this visible. I recommended this nail polish in combination with bold colours like black, dark blue or neon colour like this. I think they work together pretty well.

Thank you for reading this! My camera is not that good but i hope this would be helpful to you if you're considering buying these. And as you might already noticed, English is not my first language, so forgive me for any grammatical mistake! See you next time~ :)
