Hi~ everyone!
This is my first blog entry. I decided to start my blog because i'm on summer break and there's nothing to do at all! I just got two American Apparel nail polishes for myself. (from the supermarket near my house, yes, we sell that kind of stuff in supermarket next to vegetable shelf in Thailand) So i decided to tried it on today.
These are what i got! The packages are like your normal american apparel nail polishes. The brushes inside are also pretty ok. They are easy to use. (Not like I ever have any problems with brushes inside nail polishes anyway) The glitter one, I found it hard to apply a lot of glitter onto your nails as the size of the glitters are pretty big, it does not come up easy. I need to use a toothpick to take some of the glitters from the brush and stick them to my nails because if i just apply it directly i would be over-applying it and it would take ages to dry. Plus that does not create a proper layer.
I especially like the glitter. It has been out of stock for a while at the super market near my house but it is now in! and i JUST HAVE TO GRAB IT! However, I found some problems with it (just like i would have found in other nail polishes with this size of glitter)
1. It is hard to apply evenly so that it spreads nicely onto your nail
2. The texture is pretty bumpy. Due to the size of the glitter, it leaves a pretty bumpy texture onto your nails. I apply top coat on top of it but still, it only helped a little bit.
3. When it's bumpy, it's easier to be peeled off and bump into things , thus, it won't stay there for long. I can also feel that mine is curling itself and ready to fall off any seconds.
But of course it has its perks. And i totally love it! It's pretty rare, at least to me, to find a glitter with this kind of shape and shade. Glitter in nail polishes are, most of the time, round-shaped. And usually they are smaller and not this visible. I recommended this nail polish in combination with bold colours like black, dark blue or neon colour like this. I think they work together pretty well.
Thank you for reading this! My camera is not that good but i hope this would be helpful to you if you're considering buying these. And as you might already noticed, English is not my first language, so forgive me for any grammatical mistake! See you next time~ :)
